Our soaps are made with the cold process, hand mixed in small batches and poured into separate molds which retains the natural glycerin. They are cut by hand and slowly cured for a minimum of four weeks. Our bars are formulated to be used from head to toe. We use no artificial hardners, lathers, preservatives, parabens, synethic fragrances or dyes.
We raise our poultry slowly in organic fields, the old fashioned way, by using a very natural process. Our birds have full access to the outdoors, get plenty of exercise and live a very happy existence. Fed an all vegetarian diet of fruits and vegetables and pure spring water, our birds receive no fish by-products, pesticides, herbicides or antibiotics. This produces amazing nutrient-dense meat with rich, moist flavor and broth.
We grow field-ripened dent or flint heritage heirloom corn which contains wholesome red, white, blue, purple, yellow and orange kernels. Our corn is is stone-ground into speckled meal, grits and polenta which has a sweet, hearty, wholegrain corn flavor.
We raise Ancona Ducks, a critically endangered breed. They lay eggs which are approximately 25% higher in protein and contain more yolk compared to chicken eggs. These duck eggs are high in Omega-3 fatty acid and albumen which help produce fluffier cakes and pastries. In addition, we find that people with egg allergies are often able to eat duck eggs.
